The Addiction Heartbreak

This documentary is heartbreaking. It's amazing and worth watching.
Recently, I did a sweep of other documentaries that focus on the personal stories around opioid addiction and its' devastating impact on our communities. This video, about a mother and her heroin-addicted daughter, truly broke my heart to the point that I considered abandoning this film project altogether.
After consoling with my husband and good friend Jenn, I realized this is exactly why was I need to push forward. Now more than ever I am committed to digging deeper into the human condition underlying why we find ourselves so vulnerable to addiction and how we can work together to overcome its grip.
